De-Commissioning Project

CHALLENGE

Altus Intervention were contracted by the operator to carry out process services for their platform de-commissioning project.

SOLUTION

Altus Intervention utilised a multi-disciplined crew to initially purge the process plant evacuating all hydrocarbons. The same multi-skilled personnel then proceeded to undertaking the bolting operations to remove and blind off trees and flowlines in readiness for the plugging and abandoning phase. Leak testing was carried out on re-routed pipework.

RESULTS

Utilising a multi-disciplined crew ensured cost reduction due to minimal crew rotation & shortened delivery schedule.
