We invest in our people, and giving our trainees the skills and knowledge to grow and move forward in their career is something we take pride in. Giving individuals this opportunity to progress, receiving training in both onshore and offshore conditions provides fully encompassing preparation for the demands of a trainee wireline operator and more senior roles.
You will earn while you learn on the job. Initially, you will receive a trainee level salary, which will then increase upon promotion to the position of wireline operator, subject to passing exams.
When can I start?
The first training program begins August 1st 2018 and will run for 3 months.
The training programme will take place in Esbjerg and at the Well Intervention Academy (WIA) in Stavanger, Norway. The academy consists of practical testing and training facilities needed to create realistic offshore conditions. As most of the training will take place in Stavanger, you must be willing to stay in Stavanger for the duration of the training programme, however, certain trips home will be covered.
The Well Intervention Academy
WIA facilitates training in classrooms, workshops and the full-scale rig. We have two wells measuring 40m and 390m, replicating an offshore setup and conditions to provide as much practical experience as possible. Our impressive facilities also include a 28-metre high intervention rig tower. This provides the ideal environment for practical training and testing of tools and equipment.
The training that you receive will allow you to quickly, progress after passing the required exams. Promotion to the position of wireline operator is the first step and from here, there is wide scope for career progression to more senior roles, cementing your place in the well intervention industry. Certainly, the programme will be stimulating and is designed to stretch your capabilities to meet the demands of the job.
Unique training programme
Not only are our WIA facilities second to none, but our focus on developing multi-disciplined crews from the beginning of our training programme ensures that we can train our personnel to provide innovative solutions to our clients. By training our personnel with in-depth knowledge and expertise across disciplines, they not only have a greater skill set, but can complete operations in a shorter timescale. This not only benefits, our personnel or us as a company but our clients too.
